As a mix of all ages: freshmen (5) and seniors (6), the boys had a lot to learn and understand about themselves, each other, and the league. Although the season unfolded in ways we did not expect or desire, our team continued to grow, develop and learn their craft, and learn how to play a more simple style of soccer. Time and time again we proved as a club that we can compete with every team in the league, and some times it came together and other times it didn’t. Outside of the game, these guys developed as young men. Losing 14 games in one season is challenging on your ego, but these guys have unmatched character and poise, and although we weren’t able to pull off wins when we wanted, we changed the perception of other teams about Landmark soccer through our effort, love for the game, and sportsmanship.
